It Happened At Youth Group…
[an online madlib completed years ago, which I had printed out and just found among my junk]
The other day when I went to youth group, I was disappointed to see that everybody else was wearing the same spurs that I was wearing. Oh well, I thought, at least mine is poison green and it smells like cheap cologne. I greeted everybody with a da finger, and they replied with chumbawumba-ing sounds.
Our juicy youth leader said that today the topic would be home economics and we were so happy that we cheered and clapped 366 times. There were a few new people there so we said our names and told them about our youth group’s mascot, a cow. I was surprised that one of them was also named Cheezebarf.
We discussed the outing to the hemp farm we would go to next Thrusday and we all agreed that it would be best if we took along jockstraps. I made a mental note to take along my blood so that I wouldn’t be caught off guard if termites attacked me. We also decided to sing Wannabe to coax the chinchilla out of hiding.
To finish youth group we played tic tac toe with our eyes closed. I remembered to mom. When I left I said bye to everybody and walked home. I haven’t had such a fun time since the birth of Christ, I thought. While I walked home I said jumpin jehosaphat! out loud and smiled.

Ok, ok…enough… I’ll stop now.
“I’m Fine, But I’m Not Dandy” – George Carlin, R.I.P.
I can’t believe he’s gone. He was my all-time favorite comedian. He’s even listed in my “Heroes” section on my myspace page. I’ve seen him at least four times over the last 15 years, maybe more – I’ve lost count. In 2004 at our local show, B and I were FRONT ROW CENTER. It was so amazing. He was so close. And now he’s so far. He’s gone….
( I am beside myself.
RIP George.

Thanks to a lovely friend I found out about this site some months back AND IT RULES. Basically, people posts random bits of paper they find on the ground – like notes, recipe lists, photos, and the like. Anyone visiting the site is free to comment on what they see. Some people have even found things they wrote or that belonged to them! Here are some of the better ones:

I have a great one we found at the local Salvation Army. I’ll have to upload it to them sometime!
